Fiction Submission Policy
Wright Inspired Publishing accepts a limited number of fiction submissions each year.
We publish selectively and deliberately. Not all strong writing is right for our list. Our fiction program focuses on narrative depth, moral weight, and historical or human consequence. We are not a genre mill and we do not publish for trend.
What We Publish
We consider fiction that demonstrates:
-
Strong narrative craft and disciplined storytelling
-
Psychological or moral complexity
-
Characters shaped by consequence, choice, or loss
-
Historical, cultural, spiritual, or social grounding
-
Language that is restrained, intentional, and precise
-
Stories that carry lasting impact rather than quick resolution
We are particularly interested in:
-
Historically grounded or faith-adjacent fiction
-
Literary fiction with moral or existential stakes
-
Stories rooted in lived human experience, even when imagined
-
Fiction that could not be reduced to a premise or message
What We Do Not Publish
We do not consider submissions that are:
-
Inspirational or motivational fiction
-
Sermon-driven or allegorical narratives
-
Genre fiction written primarily for entertainment (romance, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, thrillers, YA, etc.)
-
Self-help, devotional, or teaching material presented as fiction
-
Manuscripts driven by ideology, politics, or persuasion
-
Works that rely on spectacle, shock, or trend-driven themes
If the primary goal of the manuscript is to instruct, uplift, or persuade rather than to bear narrative truth, it is not a fit.

Editorial Standards
All accepted fiction is subject to:
-
Structural and line-level editorial review
-
Narrative refinement for clarity and coherence
-
Revisions required prior to publication
We work closely with authors, but we do not compromise on editorial integrity.
This is not a rapid publication process.
We value care over speed.
Rights & Expectations
-
Submissions must be original and unpublished
-
Simultaneous submissions are acceptable but must be disclosed
-
Authors are responsible for ensuring originality and accuracy where applicable
-
Submission does not guarantee publication
Due to volume, we are unable to provide detailed feedback on rejected submissions.
A Final Note
Wright Inspired Publishing approaches fiction as stewardship, not content production.
If your work is patient, disciplined, and willing to stand on its own merit over time, we welcome your submission.
If not, we encourage you to seek a publisher better aligned with your goals.
