Role Summary
The Guided Interviewer conducts structured, recorded interviews for The Witness Series. This role is responsible for capturing accurate, usable testimony while maintaining neutrality, restraint, and respect for the witness.
This is not a writing, coaching, or therapeutic role.
Responsibilities

Conduct 6–8 guided interviews using a provided outline

Maintain a calm, respectful, and neutral presence

Keep interviews focused, on time, and on scope

Record audio clearly and securely

Take brief post-session notes highlighting key moments

Follow all confidentiality and data-handling protocols
Requirements

Experience in interviewing, journalism, oral history, or research

Strong listening skills; minimal verbal interruption

Comfort working with older adults and sensitive topics

Ability to follow structure without improvisation

Reliable audio recording capability
Compensation

$40–$45 per hour

Role Summary
The Senior Guided Interviewer leads complex or sensitive Witness projects requiring advanced judgment, emotional discipline, and experience with historically or personally significant testimony.
This role carries greater responsibility but no editorial authority.
Responsibilities

Conduct 8–12 guided interviews with witnesses and, when appropriate, family members

Navigate emotionally complex conversations without redirecting or coaching

Maintain narrative discipline while allowing the witness space to speak

Ensure interviews remain aligned with historical context and project scope

Provide concise session summaries for editorial use

Uphold all confidentiality, ethical, and procedural standards
Requirements
-
5+ years experience in oral history, journalism, documentary work, or similar fields
-
Demonstrated experience interviewing elders or handling sensitive subject matter
-
High emotional intelligence and professional restraint
-
Ability to manage silence, pauses, and difficult moments
-
Strong reliability and discretion
Compensation

$50–$60 per hour

Their role is to record testimony accurately and respectfully, not to shape narrative or provide guidance.
Role Summary
The Administrative & Communications Assistant supports day-to-day operations and external communications for Wright Inspired Publishing and The Witness Series.
This role requires organization, discretion, and consistency.
It is not a creative leadership role and not a marketing influencer position.
Responsibilities
Administrative / Office Support

Manage calendars, scheduling, and basic correspondence

Track project timelines and internal task lists

Organize documents, contracts, and digital files

Assist with invoicing, record keeping, and status updates
-
Serve as first point of contact for general inquiries
Communications & Social Media Support

Prepare and schedule pre-approved social media posts
-
Maintain tone and consistency across platforms
-
Monitor messages and comments and route appropriately
-
Assist with updating website content as directed
-
Maintain a clean content calendar and asset library

Not responsible for editorial decisions

Not responsible for writing or shaping testimony

Not responsible for growth hacking or viral marketing
Requirements
